Hunter and Cassie
About Us
We met in college in July of 2020 and after two great years of friendship and dating, we got married in April 2022. We have three beautiful angel babies. Our oldest, Cooper, was stillborn in November 2024 at 22 weeks. Our next two babies are twin girls, Phoebe Kathryn and Olivia Jane. They were born at 19 weeks in December 2025 and passed away a few minutes after delivery. We love our babies and are learning to be parents to our angels. Cassie is currently expecting a baby boy in November 2026. We hope to have a big family with lots of children in our home. We want our home to be filled with children and are trusting in God’s plan for us and our family.

Why we want to adopt
Even before we knew that it would be a challenge to have biological children, we wanted to adopt. We are not viewing this as a fall-back or second choice. We feel like we have both been prepared throughout our lives to adopt a child. We know that there are various reasons that an expectant parent would choose adoption and that it can be a hard choice. It takes so much courage and love to come to that decision. We hope to provide the best home possible for our children, full of love and happiness.
Our Families
We both come from big families. Hunter is the second of four children. Most of Hunter's family lives in Utah (one brother in Puerto Rico) and we get together often for family dinners. On Hunter’s side, we have one niece and one nephew (ages 9 and 5).
Cassie is the fourth of five children. Most of her family still lives in Utah (one sister in North Carolina). On Cassie’s side, we have four nephews (ages 11 years-1 year) and one niece (age 2). We see her family often.
We want our kids to be close to their grandparents, aunts and uncles, and cousins. Family is very important to us and we love whenever we can get together with everyone. Our family shows us so much love and support.

We love spending time together. We play a lot of games and have a good rivalry between us (specifically in Backgammon and Yahtzee). Over the past few years, we have enjoyed being outside doing things like golfing, going on vacations, and watching sports and shows. We love outdoor games like cornhole and make good teammates. We have also been the champions of Harry Potter trivia on two cruises and for two out of three years in our annual Weintz Family Christmas Potter Trivia Challenge. We have a lot of fun together. Whether we are on a vacation or at home sitting on our porch, we love spending time with each other.
Our Beliefs
We are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We serve actively in our local congregation and try everyday to be like our Savior. Hunter served a two year mission in Birmingham Alabama and Cassie served an 18 month mission in Nauvoo Illinois and Denver Colorado.
The last few years have been full of heartache with losing our three perfect babies, but we know that everything will eventually be made right because of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
We plan to teach our children that they are each a child of God and that He loves them. We hope we can teach them to rely on Christ and pattern their lives after Him. We know that it is through Him that we can find lasting peace and joy.

Cassie from Hunter's Perspective
I fell in love with Cassie because she is so fun and radiates goodness. She has always made me feel loved and helps me feel comfortable being myself. She is also such a big support and believer in me and makes me feel like I can do anything. Cassie is a go-getter and will accomplish anything she sets her mind to. As long as I’ve known her she has always wanted to be a mom more than anything. That was a big part of why I wanted to marry her. I have always been able to picture her being the most incredible and loving mother. Cassie is a great singer and studied opera in college. She’s super competitive when we play board games but in a really fun way. She is also a great baker and makes the most delicious treats. Cass gets really happy when she can put on sweats and a hoodie and be cozy. She’s passionate and so strong and selfless. I’m so lucky to be her husband.
Hunter from Cassie's Perspective
Hunter is a very big Utah Jazz fan. We love watching and going to games, even when the team isn’t doing the best. Hunter is also very physically active. His main form of exercise is running, but he has also done triathlons (including an Iron Man 70.3!), so he spends a lot of time biking and swimming to train for those as well. After we lost Cooper, Hunter decided to go back to school and pursue becoming a Physician Assistant. He is working hard to further his education and we plan on attending PA school in a few years.
Some of my favorite things about Hunter is he is always having fun. He often sings while he’s doing things, but he will always have either the words, tune, or rhythm wrong. It doesn’t stop him though. He also never does things half way. If he has an idea to do something, he will think of a very elaborate way to do it. He goes all in. He is not a surface level hobbyist, but gets very into learning and figuring out how to do things. He is dedicated and works hard for us. He has introduced me to a lot of things that have made my life fuller like Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Brandon Sanderson books, and Lego. I never have to wonder if he loves me. He makes me so happy and I’m so thankful for him. He truly is my best friend. I know that he will always support me and stick by me. He will be such a big support to our children and will give them the world. I can’t wait to see him love and play with our children. They will be so blessed to have the best dad there could ever be.
